adjustable baby slings

Here are some shopping tips I found on Adjustable baby slings. Hope the information is helpfull in finding the right baby sling for your needs.

There are many types of slings and baby carriers available. Four of the most popular types are adjustable ring slings, pouches, front carriers and seated carriers. Each type has its features but some have large deficiencies. Adjustable ring slings allow you to tighten (or loosen) them as much as you need to and they also provide good back support. Seated carriers, like the ERGO Baby Carrier, allow your baby to sit down and provide excellent back support for you. The traditional front carriers that are found at most large baby department stores suspend the baby from their crotch, rather than in a sitting position. This is potentially harmful for your baby's physical development. The other detractor of these front carriers is that they offer poor back support for you. Pouches can not be adjusted (typically) and so they will either fit you properly or they won't. Furthermore, nursing is complicated by these because you can not tighten them to lift your baby higher for nursing. These are the reasons that we specialize in adjustable ring slings and seated carriers like the ERGO baby carrier.
