HELL IS FOR HEROS REVIEW

Don Siegel brings his tough worldview and crisp, no-nonsense direction to this quintessential World War II drama of an undermanned American platoon in France holding off a German advance through sheer bluff and bravery. Steve McQueen is curt and surly as the insubordinate loner whose tactical skills and soldiering savvy make him indispensable to his new unit. His reputation precedes him, but commander Fess Parker is in no position to be choosy when he learns that his tired platoon will not be shipping home as rumored, but tossed into a ragged new offensive. Harry Guardino costars as the soulful Sarge; James Coburn is the slow-talking, forever-tinkering mechanic; Bobby Darin is the scavenger with a small fortune in trinkets; and Nick Adams is the Polish orphan and unit mascot. Bob Newhart makes his feature debut as a hopelessly lost typing clerk drafted into the undermanned unit and re-creates his nightclub shtick making phony phone calls near a Nazi listening post in the pillbox. Like Pork Chop Hill, this film is less a patriotic flag waver than a "war is hell" drama that frames the battle not in its tactical importance (which is negligible) but in its cost in human life. McQueen's taciturn performance as a ruthlessly effective soldier and Siegel's tough, lean direction make it a modest classic of the genre. --Sean Axmaker

Garrity Head Lamp

I have been using a Head Lamp for 3 years now in My trade HVAC. The head lamp is so useful when you are in a place that you need both hands to work and still need some light on the subject, or when you are walking or crawling across the rafters of a dark attic, or when you want to do some night fishing for recreation. I have broken 2 head lights and lost one,, but when I break it from rough usage or loose one due to absent mindeness I dont hesatate one minute to drop another 20 or so dollars on a new head lamp. These lamps are durable and bright and it is so nice not to have to try to find a place to hang your drop light or set your regular light so that you can actually see what your working on. I dont know about you but I usually dont carry someone in my back pocket to hold a light for me. If you have a handy persons in your life and cant think what you get them for a gift this is a perfect affordable gift that not everyone has and will be used over and over again.

Give yourself or someone you need a gift for a guiding light give them a headlamp. I own 2.

Samsung Rant

I am sure that a lot of people have already experienced the Samsung Rant. I just updated my sprint account with two new Samsung Rant phones and absolutely love them. They are so easy to navigate. I never caught on with texting via a phone keypad so the slide out rant keyboard brought me too a new level of texting, also I have photo, camcorder, bluetooth and so much more
I have been really happy with my rant. The only thing that I have found so far that I dont like is that I can't customize my home home screen with a calendar I only have like 4 choices I can make and would rather not be that limited with my home screen. Otherwise this has been a good phone and gives me lots of options for communications.

Weary Consumers pay less

I ran across this program, that is helping consumers all over save on shopping,If you're not familiar with Oklahoma's self-described "Coupon Queen," you may want to pay attention because Melissa Garcia says she can save you a lot of money. It seem Melissa Garcia has made a Family safe web site out of her passion for her kids and saving money. I have found it a great resource to check out.
I highly recomend checking out the consumer Queen at .com
